- GREENVILLE ADVOCATE - 18 JUL1968 - MOTHER OF GRANVIL ELLSWORTH DIES AT HOSPITAL - FUNERAL FRIDAY FOR MULBERRY GROVE HOUSEWIFE
Mrs. Ida Ellsworth, 74, of Mulberry Grove, widow of Harry Ellsworth, died at 7:20 p.m. Tuesday at Utlaut Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Mulberry Grove Church of Christ, the Rev. Max Whited officiating. Mrs. Norma Whited will be pianist, & Gene Dothager & Max Whited vocalists. Pallbearers will be Gene Dothager, Dewey Elam, Glasgow Dugan, Ed Harnetiaux, Byron Smith & David Dugan. Interment will be in Mulberry Grove cemetery. Friends may call at the Ripperdan Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Thursday.
Mrs. Ellsworth was born 09Mar1894 in Seminary Twp., Fayette Co., the daughter of Jasper D. & Sarah E. (Swafford) Heather, & was aged 74 years, 4 months & 7 days. She married Harry Ellsworth in Mulberry Grove, 27Feb1910. He died 30Jul1965.
Surviving are 3 sons, Granvil Ellsworth of Mulberry Grove; Ralph Ellsworth of Edwardsville & Norman Ellsworth of Granite City; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; & the following brothers & sisters: George & Roy Heather of Oregon, IL; Mrs. Maggie Daniels of Taylor Springs; Mrs. Vina Woodworth & Mrs. Erma West of West Terre Haute, IN & Mrs. Ola Shipman of Hillsboro. A son, Clarence, 2 brothers, Cleve & Dallas & a sister Onita have preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Mulberry Grove Church of Christ & the Loyal Sisters.
