- Deloris I. Schaffner, 81, Raymore, peacefully passed away surrounded by family January 11, 2017, at Foxwood Springs Living Center in Raymore, Mo. Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. with visitation from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, at Cullen Funeral Home. Burial Belton Cemetery, Belton, Mo. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to KC Hospice or the American Brain Tumor Association.
Deloris was born Feb, 9, 1935, in Booneville, Mo. She was the daughter of Samuel Clay Davidson and Dorothy Jane Wilson. On June 24, 1950, Deloris was united in marriage with Donald R. Schaffner. Together they shared the blessing of six children, Donald Jr., Richard, David, Donna, Deborah, and Denise. Deloris lovingly served her family throughout her life as a homemaker. She was an expert seamstress, making countless clothing items and beautiful quilts for her family. She also enjoyed crocheting, making porcelain dolls, ceramics, and custom draperies. She was also a member of the Belton Free Will Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by husband of 59 years, Donald R. Schaffner; son, Richard Wayne Schaffner, and her brother, John Davidson. She is survived by her children, Donald R. Schaffner, Jr., David J. Schaffner, Donna M. Cummings (Randy), Deborah A. Shepherd (Cole), Denise A. Schaffner; her daughter-in-law, Cynthia (Peterson) Schaffner; siblings, William A.
