The only thing left of the farm is the foundation of the house and a red brick silo with a few tree's. His son, Harry Christian Younghans, married Matilda Fredricka Osterberg. They had seven children. Bernice Julia, Dorothy Mayme, Helen Matilda, Leonard Albert, Irene Caroline, Mary Ann Ruth, and Robert Harry (my father). The first four children were born on a rental farm noth/east of Brady, Ne., close to the William Younghans farm. Around 1919, Harry purchased a farm 9 miles south/west of North Platte, Neb.. He farmed there until around 1947 where he moved into North Platte, semi-retired. At this time, my father, Robert H., took over the farming with my Grandfather helping up-into his late 80's. Robert married Betty Ilene Atterbery and had a son, William Robert Younghans. Betty passed-away in 1949. Robert remarried in 1950 to Virginia A. Fisher and had three more son's, Donald Alfred, Kenneth Leroy, and Harry Denton. Harry C. passed-away in 1980. Robert H. passed-away in 1975, due to a farm accident. Kenneth L. still works the same farm for our Mother, Virginia. My brother's and I all presently live in Lincoln County, around the North Platte, Neb. area. My address is William R. Younghans, 2024 N.
